I feel like I'm missing out as I'm just not having the strange food combinations at all! Sure, I like pickles (especially lime pickle) but then I always have. I do have tendencies to go for particular foods over other foods more often than not, but there's never been this alleged "GIVE ME COAL NOW!" thing happening.

Still, I love to eat more than ever, and I know exactly what you mean about being too full too quickly yet still wanting food!

I am only having the odd cravings due to having a virus at the moment. I always eat lime pickle in vast quantities when I am ill, but having the perfectly reasonable pregnancy-related desire to eat creme caramel at the same was disturbing. Crememcaramel and lime pickle were the two things I needed to eat the most, and I don't have the room in my stomach for anything else, so dinner consisted of a quarter of a jar of lime pickle followed by creme caramel.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, creme caramel sounds quite good..! I just don't have the desire to eat things with each other, although I'm happy following them on with inappropriate things. But I've always been that way anyway!

I feel like I really missed out. The only thing I craved when pregnant was chocolate (but since I craved that before I was pregnant, I don't think it really counts).
I did spend the first three months only able to eat white starch foods (toast - no marg, boiled rice, pasta - no sauce, potato cakes) but that wasn't really by choice!
Hmm. Did I miss out? Should I try it again? erm... No!

BTW, unnecessary advice - when planning post partum meals for the first few weeks, make sure you can eat them one handed!
