Nappies

My trial pack of cloth nappies just arrived. They are the cutest things ever, although I think our decision to use disposables for the first few weeks is a sensible one, as not only will we be knackered at first, but the nappies do look as though a tiny baby could use them as a tent, and I think that they would swamp a newborn.

We use biodegradable nappies, and for the first few months went through several sizes. You might be in newborn size for a while, or you might go through them quickly (like we did) depending on how quick the baby grows. The third size should last for a while, designed for 20lb to 40lb - which sounds like the size that your cloth nappies are.

Definitely use disposables of some sort until the meconium's gone completely, I say. That stuff is Evil to wash off anything.

We still have (because I am a horder) lots of Kushies (all in one) first and much bigger size reusables... so if you are not squeamish about well washed (but pre-poo-ed) nappies, then you are welcome to help us clear out our cupboard. We have much other stuff I am hoping to off load on you. I will email a list to smorgasbord as I don't have your email.

A list would be great, fairly soon if possible as I seem to have to gone into nesting mode which is taking the form of frantic shopping. If you would like my email, you can get it by clicking on my userinfo.
