I've been enjoying every chapter and am greatly anticipating the next one. To borrow one of your phrases, this story leaves me "with a warm feeling permeating [my] chest."
Oh, I love this side of Logan - sweet and sour. lol Or more like sweet and snarky w/less bitterness. And I love that you are making Veronica hold her own against him. Often times Veronica can be written too sweet pre-series, but she had to have some sass to keep up with Lilly Kane and you've done a great job of showing that.
I'm happy you like my pre-series Veronica, too. Sometimes I have a tough job imagining what she was like, because there's one or two flashbacks from S1 where I remember her seeming like just this meek little airhead. But you're right. Hanging out with Lilly Kane would be pretty tough if Veronica herself didn't have some teeth, lol. Plus, I could never see her turning into the badass tough-girl she was during S1 if there hadn't been a FEW seeds of said toughness already planted during her early teen years :)
Wow. That was my REALLY long-winded way of saying thanks for your comments, lol! So.. Thanks!! Hehe.
I really like the little hints you've given us about Veronica's ability to read people--like the fact that she senses that the Echolls family isn't the way they appear on TV. Too many people write pre-series Veronica as a sweet little sap, and I can't believe she was that different from series Veronica. She may not have had much trauma yet, but she's still the daughter of Keith Mars!

Here, here! I mentioned that to someone else who commented, too. It's like, yeah pre-series Veronica was obviously different from S1 Veronica. But from what I've seen, it's pretty impossible for someone to COMPLETELY overhaul their personality without the seeds of their 'new' personality having already been planted at some point in their 'former' one.
That said, I'm very happy you like my take on pre-series Veronica. I'm sometimes unsure if I'm making her a little too S1-esque (ie. she's just S1 Veronica but in different clothes, lol), so it's really really nice to have some encouragement on that front :)
