Fun with harmonic oscillation
So, I'm sitting here in the lab, trying to finish an article for publication. The deadline for this issue is June 1. We're frantically trying to get in more subjects and finish the paper.
Then we get an email saying that the deadline has been extended to July 15. Woo! Now I'm drinking a Corona and updating my LJ.

Ah, fuck it! I'm gonna have a party
There was a bit of a shindig last night in the UNI House. I haven't thrown many parties in my life, due to various concerns. But the UNI House is so lovely, and so empty, that I feel I must share it with friends in the few weeks I have remaining. It's become something of a halfway house for wayward BU kids.

On this day that began as (graduation) day, and sure enough became (graduation) day
Someone said that graduation was like slowing taking off a band-aid over the course of several weeks. Painful anticipation, I suppose.
Graduation was a whirlwind. There were a lot of empty promises - trying to say goodbye to people I hardly knew. But no one really wanted to think to deeply on it, because the whole thing is scary enough as it is. ( Read more... ) -

- I decided to take the job at Vanderbilt. I start August 1. I'll live in Nashville for two years. It should be fun, you should come visit.
