I'm wondering if anyone here has or would donate eggs, despite being clucky themselves? I'm considering it (for financial reasons, as well as the thought of helping someone else who wants children). If anyone has, or has considered it and changed their mind, I'd love to hear that story as well.

We are finally seeing a reproductive endocrinologist! :D Waiting to try forever, trying forever, taking a break because of my nursing program, waiting to get in to see an RE (had to wait 6 weeks to even get in because of our limited schedule). Oy, I'm doing my maternity/pediatrics rotation right now and it's so much harder than I thought it'd be. I'm not even in clinical yet( starts next week-- first half of the semester is maternity, the second half will be pediatrics; I have lectures for both throughout) and I'm having difficulty even with the lecture material. I'm 20 years old as of March and the other day I was at a waterpark with a lot of babies and children around and I found myself aching for a child of my own. I've always wanted kids since as long as I can remember (I used to carry pillows around on my hip and pretend they were a toddler... Last night I was at dinner with hubby and much of his extended family. Is cousin Graham was there, with his GF Erin and their baby girl Aurora. She's 6 mos old and so precious. I watched as all the great aunts gushed over Erin and the baby. I got to snuggle and play with her. She had that delicious baby smell, and the puffiest, rosiest cheeks. Sigh ( Read more... )
