Something he took from the raid on the vault in Ballymena. I'm not sure what it was, but we believe it was the Tome of Records. I personally feel sorry for the helpless parents. I wish there was something that we could do.

I think I know how. We knew he had the Tome of Records. I think he found a way to use another book with a list of either all the non-purebloods in the UK, or all the purebloods. The latter is more likely, because Nature's Nobility does just that.

He cross-referenced the names with those in the Tome of Records to spare them, and used a spell to target everyone else. Squibs, Muggleborns, halfbloods. I'm just surprised more weren't killed.

Actually... that's right, more weren't killed. Why? With that power he could have wiped us all out-- all of us not pureblood, in an instant. He must still be missing something...
