tonight there's an art show at the essex studios and I'm selling prints of my stuff for $8 to $18, along with origami crane christmas ornaments for $3 each. very exciting! on the posters I've put up in the halls I am advertising a free hug (from me) with each purchase. hopefully this marketing ploy will work.

here are the ones I'm selling )

I also hope that my parents don't decide to sell the piano, but as they said, it'd pay for my freshman year college tuition and board. that's difficult to argue with.
the prints are actual size. so what you see here, that is how big they are. if I tried to make them bigger they'd get all icky and pixellated. ):

Meanwhile: Damn, honey. Well. I feel that I must concur: definitely keep the piano. Trade in the rest of it for stuff from the sale section of ikea, but keep the piano. We have one here that is old and out of tune and nobody ever plays it, but if it were to be removed for some reason one day it would I think be like a punch in the gut.
(Oh, and keep the good books too. Or at least the ones the library doesn't have.)
Also I should mention that you are a sensational human being and deserve nothing short of an amazing life. It sounds like this past year has been pretty rough, but maybe it's just a little saving up by some shirky karma fairy in an attempt to balance all the future fabulosity. (If this is not the case then I will storm the heavens, and I don't think they'll want to deal with that. So, QED, or something.)
