It'd be short lived though. There's no shortage of misguided "heroes" out there.

I'd actually be doing her a favor.

If only I could do it again and again and again. So I could jade any heroes coming to her rescue. But not to desensitize her. I want her to still hurt before I'm done.

Although from everything I've seen... people care about other people only up until a certain point. A point that falls short of people "needing" their help. I see it all the time.
