you're so cute, celia! i love where you're copying the statue. and of course, all the food is my favorite!! wow! those places are awesome and i've never seen such beautiful gardens. that's so cool!
What a great post! I should be reading about psychoanalytic literary theory, but instead I read your post! You and your brother are absolutely adorable. And you are my kind of girl - life should be all about eating! :)
yay, I'm glad you enjoyed it! and I completely agree about eating - it's one of my favorite things to do. :) Sometimes I think I get more pictures of my food than actual people! i do get some funny looks in restaurants, but I've gotten used to it by now. :D
That's really weird that they didn't let you take pictures of the mona lisa. Everyone was taking pictures of it when I got there. and I so envy you going to Versailles. At least I got your pictures... :-D
First I must thank you for the food pictures. I know they were for everyone to enjoy, but I probably enjoyed them more than I should have. :-D The food looked good!!! I am so glad you had a good time. What is punting, exactly? Is it like rowing? I think you said this in an earlier post, but I missed it. In any case, I really enjoyed reading this entry (actually, all of your entries since you've been in England). It is nice to live vicariously through your fun adventures ;-). Haha. But seriously, you took some awesome pics, and I enjoy your descriptions to go with them.
Also, good choice on the chocolate ice cream, but wow what tiny scoops. And why is it that the really expensive food always comes in small portions?
punting uses the long pole to push your boat along the river. it's kind of like the gondolas in venice, I assume? anyways it's really hard for someone who has no arm muscles (i.e me). I had to continually struggle to keep the boat going in a straight line. more than once we ran up onto the bank or through some overhanging brush. oops..
yeah I wasn't joking when I said the ice cream was small! i could have eaten two, easily. probably three with no trouble. it was very good though, so i'm not TOO upset.
