Come to Florida!!! ;) That is my suggestion.

I would die in that kind of weather. We do have our normal afternoon shower/thunderstorms around here but after about 40 mins they are done and over with.

sounds like what it's like in Nebraska! At least you don't have tornado's popping up! I am so sick of the rain/severe weather.
