The Brady tooth report...
I noticed that tooth #3 had poked through this morning while Isaac was at dance. Facing him, it's the tooth to the right of the bottom right center tooth. -

A tip for anyone wondering what not to say to a parent whose young child is facing serious illness: Do NOT try to 'comfort' them with poems about letting their child go. Te insensitivity in sharing something like that is crushing. I KNOW the implications of my child's diagnosis, and reminding me that letting go is important is a slap in the face ( Read more... ) -

Neuro-oncology stopped by while we were out picking Abby up from school. Results are apparently in, so it looks like tomorrow is The Day. -

Logan came out of surgery at about 9 PM. They reached a point where the surgeon couldn't distinguish tumor from brain stem, so they decided to stop. The surgeon estimated that he was able to remove between 50 and 75 percent of the mass, but that will be confirmed this weekend when he has a post-op MRI. Still waiting. The last report at about 6 1/4 hours in said Logan was doing fine and they were making slow progress. The nurse said that she was told that she might be there in the or for her entire shift, which ends at 11 tonight.
Both my brother and Adam's sister are flying in tonight.

Surgery wound up starting at about 11 am. We'll hear more at roughly 1. For now, we're sitting in the cafeteria with mil and fil; ou pastor stopped by for a little while and just headed out.
