A tip for anyone wondering what not to say to a parent whose young child is facing serious illness: Do NOT try to 'comfort' them with poems about letting their child go. Te insensitivity in sharing something like that is crushing. I KNOW the implications of my child's diagnosis, and reminding me that letting go is important is a slap in the face ( Read more... )

Thanks Cari. I'm trying to stay hopeful; it's just so hard. Thank your sister for me as well.

I got your email and meant to respond, but thank you so much. As overwhelmingly awful as it is, the situation has really shown me how good people can be as well.

Sherry, I wish I could delete that from my FB, I can't believe that she posted that on my status update, I felt sick to my stomach when I read that. This woman is in her 60s and it seems that she doesn't have empathy. I am beside myself, I had hoped you wouldn't see that.

I believe in my heart that Logan will be okay. I know that you have a long road ahead of you, but it is one that you will travel it together, along with us as tag alongs, and supporters.

Again I am sorry.

It's not your fault. I was already emotional when I saw it on my way home. I know she meant well, so it's hard to even be angry. Just sad. Unless she's lost a child or come close to it, she just doesn't understand. But again, not your fault, J.

I know it isn't fault logically, but if not for me then you would not have had to be hit by that. So I do feel responsible emotionally. Apparently I can delete the comment from my page, but I just haven't had the time to do it.

I continue to think about you guys and pray daily.
