I have no money...Not to mention I have to pay for rent $1800, books and school supplies $300+, as well as food and other necessities. I am fucked. I have started a job search, which I will expand on tomorrow/today. Because if I don't get a job soon, I will be in deep shit. Luckily my financial aid will be coming soon, but I think that will ( Read more... )

Sorry about the woes of life. But just to let you know, I think you're a cool guy and if there's anything that girls like it's someone who's confident and fun to be around (in the middle, you see...not narcisistic but humble while still feeling good about oneself. This reminds me of how much a friend of mine hated the guy that continually kept asking her if his penis looked funny. That didn't last long). Anyway, bottom line you listen to good music, you're smart and have a good sense of humor and that's more than most guys have nowadays.

Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. I tend to get down on myself from time to time. I know that all in all I am a good guy, it just gets rough sometimes. Thanks again, good luck with winter term.

Try public transit, you can be the funny oddball who chats up strangers. It's a non-sexualized environ to meet people. It's how I got my guy.

But in general, when you see a girl you're interested in, go for it. I know rejection sucks, but you have a 100% chance of not getting the girl if you don't try. Uncertainty is the spice of life.

I know an adult, married man who reminds me a lot like you. People thought he was gay in high school because he wanted to learn to cook. Like I said he's married, I'm not tying this together well, but there's someone and generally many someone's for everyone. It's like whatisface's number in reverse. There's eight billion people on the planet, if even a fraction of those like the same music as you, and a fraction of those have a few more things in common with you, there'll still lots of options. (Unfortunately 160K odd are now dead from the tsunami, but there's still lots left)
