I've been away for most of the past week, and I'm only back online now, so instead of responding to your reviews from last time now, I'm going to post the chapter before I get to bed and respond tomorrow, instead. I have been receiving them via phone and they're much appreciated! *hugs*
Oh, and thank you so much to
sintonia for the chocolate vgift! ;)

I like how you had Buffy give the scythe to Satsu, like she was passing on her legacy to another.
The ending to this chapter was really sweet, though I can picture everyone around them staring and waiting and rolling their eyes as they kiss.
Are we going to get Spike's POV next chapter or are you sticking with just Buffy's POV? No matter what looking forward to next chapter! :)

Originally, my draft called for Buffy to use the scythe herself, but she really isn't that kind of leader anymore, and I wanted to highlight that fact here. So yes, definitely a continuation of her legacy. :)

Ngl, I was going to have Xander comment on it, but it didn't seem like Buffy would notice. 'Tis the downside to writing POV fic. :D
I've considered switching to Spike's POV, but I think that'd rattle the reader- the two exceptions to the Buffy POV were necessary, but they've still felt out of place to me even now. We will get some Spike insight, though. :)

I like the idea of her continued legacy going on through to Satsu, she was an interesting character in the comics and I think one fitted for the next generation.
Too bad we didn't get the Xander bloopers! XD
And I didn't think the Spike POV chapters were out of place, they actually helped me figure out Spike's character in all this and his side of things which made the whole a lot more enjoyable for me.

Buffy hating Illyria "on principle" is a funny, inspired detail.
The scene where Buffy confronts Angel about killing Orkanel is perfectly balanced: Buffy is right, but it's hard not to side with Angel a bit :)

Surprisingly, a few people have already expressed their distaste for Angel's appearance here. I must be a freak, too, because I was mentally squeeing at Angel hugging Buffy while I wrote it... I ship too many things. :D
It's funny, because I don't think that Angel would think twice about killing Orkanel, not after he'd hurt people Angel cares about. But some of Buffy's morals are still rigid enough that they can't bend, even now. I actually just received a review on another site (while writing this!) that accuses Buffy of being "weak" because she won't kill him. But it's who she is, regardless of how many shades of grey she sees in now. :)

I get home and realized that there's an update on Embers and it made me so happy, and yet so sad because I read it too fast.
I guess I'll just have to read the Prodigal to pacify my needs. Hahahaha :3 Thanks for providing for my Spike addiction.

*hides* Not Prodigal! *adds it to the list of fics that need rewrites* :D Lol!

ANYWAY, Embers though... is giving me much hope for Season 9 that I'm a little scared at what Season 9 is going to be like. I bet, with my hopes so very high, it's going to crush me into a million tiny little pieces.
Damn you, Joss Whedon!

And as I just said in my other response to you, I'm just hoping for a slow buildup so Joss won't have a chance to destroy Spuffy. Like, end-of-Season-Ten romance. We can only hope... ;)
