It's nice that I found a place to enter in a recipe to calculate the nutrition totals for free. However, it's not so cool that they mention 'octo-lavo vegetarians.'
What, you eat cephalopods and soap? It's ovo-lacto, you idiots. Egg-milk. Octopus-soap, wtf. -

Weeded and thinned carrots. They're about 2-4 inches tall now (a few doing quite well) but almost nothing beneath, as one could tell with the thinning. I'm not allergic to poison ivy, so I got to weed the crappier side ( Read more... ) -

Today's Farming Update
I weeded half the carrots.
Right now, they are very small, and the bittersweet, grass, and sunflower growths in the rows of carrots are much bigger than the tops. Some poison ivy near the fence, but generally avoidable. Second day at the farm. I and the few other 'heavy duty' workers are starting before the harvest season begins in mid-June. Tonight my attorney and I did some estimates and given the value of organic produce and the hours I've been assigned, I am technically working for around minimum wage.
