I finally finished reading The Adventures of Oliver Twist. Few things I've read are more bland and tedious than the last three chapters of that book. For all of 50 chapters the story goes on, and in three more it is summarily wrapped-up, happy endings and just deserves all around, with epilogue to boot. Evolution is a stupid email program because it has a hardcoded path to Sendmail. So, I got out my hex editor and hacked in the path to my SendYMail script. This is because I'm seriously considering switching to a yahoo mail account for everything. Using SendYMail along with FetchYahoo means I can send and receive mail over an SSL connection ( Read more... )

I upgraded to Linux kernel 2.6 and updated my video drivers; now my machine performs much better than before. So much better, in fact, that I decided to go ahead and get re-addicted to a certain horrible first-person-shooter (as I do every 6-12 months, for a month or two).
