My car up and died.  It didn't just break and cost me $500 to fix it.  It up and died.  It needs a complete new engine, which would cost at least $4,000.  What a stupid car.  :)  It was seriously working fine on Wednesday!  Then Thursday comes and no.  It will absolutely NOT work.  I hate it

My car is going to die soon, and it stresses me out. Every time I talk to my dad about my car he says, "man I hope the head gasket doesn't go out. It tends to happen to your car around 150k."
I'm at 158k.
Getting a new car stresses me out. I might need your advice. :)

Yeah, my car was at 168k. The worst part was, last week I had it in at the mechanic's to get it checked out and spent $125 to find out that it should be okay, other than needing tires. So, I went and bought 4 new tires, and then a week later it dies. GAH. I have some bad luck with cars. :)

Anyway, I don't know how good I'll be with advice. My parents kept wanting me to wait and wait and wait to buy one, but I just wanted to get it over with because I just do NOT like those salespeople. I don't like having to haggle for things. :) But, I think I ended up with a pretty good car, and I spent exactly what I wanted to, so that was relieving. Also, I found out that I have excellent credit! :)

There are a lot of nice cars that start at like $10,000...the problem is having the $10,000 to buy them. :)
