A proposal
I'd like to propose a ban on thinkpieces about a genre by someone who hasn't tried at least five examples of said genre in the past year. This goes double if you're talking about a genre traditionally associated with a marginalized group; for example, romance and young adult novels, which have traditionally been associated with women, or rap music ( Read more... ) -

Phoenix (2014; dir. Christian Petzold)
In Christian Petzold's Phoenix (2014), a Holocaust survivor, unrecognizable after reconstructive surgery, is recruited by her unknowing husband to impersonate herself so he can claim her inheritance. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015; dir. J.J. Abrams)
Hey, so I finally saw that movie, and it was adorable. Then I finally saw Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in hopes that they would explain some of the world-building that puzzled me.
