Right now, in the backseat of my car, I have: a dirty grill grate, a poster advertising Cristin's Harvard reading that has my name on it in bold, and a headless Gap mannequin.
(Bonus: my students have named her Susan. I misspelled "name" as "nake", and my phone knew I meant "name" and not "naked".) -

Today was one of those days when it is 4:45am and you decide to dust go to work. And when you get there, you decide today is the day you go on the roof. And pull over to take pictures of all the tape koi. Things we could talk about on our date so that I don't talk about how annoying work can be
That dream I had where someone gave me a kitten set. (Think, like, a pillbox, only kitten-sized and filled with kittens.) I knew I couldn't keep them, and I didn't know what to do with them, and I was soooo anxious the whole time, I couldn't even enjoy their adorableness. -
Thinking about Baltimore
I taught sixth grade for one year. History and Science. (Integrated Science Exploration, or ISE, as you will.) The guiding question for the year in all the classes in that grade is, "how do living things adapt to changes in their environment?"
