I hate that feeling, where it's like you had something on the tip of your tongue and suddenly it's just gone.

Though of course the saying goes, if you forget what you were about to say it must not have been particularly important anyway.

Then again no one forgets, not really... it's... it...

But what was so important?

You forgot something, you mean.

If I did, I forgot what I forgot as well.

That sound both frustrating and disturbing.

It's annoying, mainly. It doesn't seem to be the result of a curse, though, so I'm guessing it isn't anything serious.

I thought that was a curse, but it's gone on too long for that.

I'll let you know if you seem to be missing anything.

You'd have to, since I get the feeling I wouldn't notice. Still have my name and social security number though, so I can't be too badly off.

Hey, it's better than nothing. To be fair, I haven't seen anyone that badly off yet. The worst I've seen so far is forgetting how the devices work- hopefully it won't get worse.

I haven't been terribly attentive to the Network lately. It's cold comfort hearing I'm not the only one who's forgetful.

You as well? There's a little girl on the network that seems to be forgetting things as well.

I'm inclined to think it's nothing, at least in comparison. I think if it had been important I would have been able to puzzle it out from context.

I hope so. I'd hate to think this is a growing problem.

I hope it doesn't last. I dislike feeling forgetful.

It's so fucking annoying. I've been getting that a lot lately...

Like a curse, but it's been more than a day. Which isn't unheard of, of course, but not exactly usual.

Hopefully it won't last too much longer.

Are people getting progressively worse? Because then, on the bright side, eventually you wouldn't remember enough to notice anything was wrong.

From what I've seen you should count yourself lucky that you've only forgotten what's on the tip of your tongue.

That is all you've forgotten, isn't it?

I think so.

That's a very good thing.

My name is Myrnin and I'm a scientist. I specialize in neurology and even more particularly diseases in which one loses their memory. Should you experience true memory loss, or short term memory loss on a regular basis, I'd be interested in speaking with. I'm attempting to speak with some of the others this has happened to as well.

I trust you won't be insulted if I say I hope I don't end up needing your specialty. But, nice to meet you all the same. Rudy Cooper.

I'd tell you more if there was anything to tell.
