Okay wow. This is seriously one of the best fics I've read in a long time. I mean there are layers upon layers of awesome here. Spot on characterization, realistic character drama, fun little insights. Some fics are like fun little desserts. They're short, sweet and forgotten. This was a three course meal.

And Rich as the dealer I can't say I didn't see it coming(the line about Annie not speaking to him anymore made him the best candidate) but seeming how I hate Rich I loved it. Also it makes sense since he would have access to drugs and be able to enroll in all three colleges.

I can only really think of one flaw in the entire story. During Jeff's "waiting" speech. The comment about not having it mentioned in the men's room. I have to call shenannigans on that one. Men's rooms are places bereft of conversation. It goes against our "Guy Code".

But this is hardly an actual flaw. It serves the story very well actually.

Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to anything else you have to write.

Thank you for taking the time to write me such an awesome comment! I really appreciate you telling me your full thoughts because it does help me in my writing process. (For instance, I will totally take in to account that there is no talking in men's restrooms. I had no idea. I've never even been in one.) :)

WOW. This was awesome. I enjoyed every moment of it.

Oh, but I am confused about one part...you had Jeff say, "Officer Lucas Tyler as in...your boyfriend Luke." But you never have Annie mention that he is an officer or what his full name is....how did Jeff know?

That's a really good question, LOL. I would say leap of logic? He knows she's hiding something, knows Luke has something to do with it, and with Annie's confession of being involved with the police he makes an assumption?

Or we could call it a plothole, which it totally is.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, though! I do appreciate it.

this was just WOW. Perfect. So deep. Amazing.

"The drugs endangered her body, the lying her mind, but Jeff was dangerous to her heart, and it'd already been bruised by him before."

This line was just beautiful.
