I never met my dad's dad. Or at least not at any level I'm able to remember. He died when I was just a baby. My grandmother never remarried, but you can't be alone forever. I'm not sure how long actually but for the last few years at least she's been living with Mr.Ray. I wouldn't call him a step-grandfather but he always seemed nice enough and it ( Read more... )

Heh, no worries. It is funny in that cosmic way.

But I didn't forget. I was late to class again, so I just texted you instead and said not to worry about me. I asked Mandi to save me a seat though because I know she gets there early and is by the aisle where it's easy to get to.

Heh, your icon did make me chuckle. But I'm not depressed...it's more 'here we go again' sort of nervousness. I know everyone goes when it's their time, and my family is bigger than most so logically we get to go through more funerals and the like more often than other families do. But thanks for your thoughts. I do kind of feel bad for the person sitting behind the sign guy though.
