Today's entry isn't so brilliant, but the paragraphs below on Spinoza and the Trillion Dollar Idea are great.

There is a new book in the Horrible Histories series: Oxford. Loads of copies in Borders and no doubt elsewhere. It's really rather good, lots of stories I didn't know.

They even sound plausible. Of course, I'm very gullible.

But anyway it's entertaining, perfect present for juvenile relative.

Well I finally got around to logging into my LJ!
