I've started thinking a lot lately how I miss sitting down with a new CD and listening to it in its entirety while flipping through the liner notes, lyrics and artwork. I feel like I absorb it and connect to it so much more--I'm much more likely to get it.
Pretty much all the CD's I still own (which aren't many, esp. compared to the amount I have on my computer) are still in the U.S., just sitting there. Sometime soon, I think I'd like to do the opposite from you--I'd like to build up my CD collection, bit by cherished bit.
Strangely, I still buy CDs. I love getting them, sitting down with them, etc. But after the novelty wears off, I sell them. The price difference is less than buying the mp3s!
