Hey Colin... don't be sad! We like having you over and want to make an effort to invite you to more of our get-togethers. You've been really fun to hang out with lately and you fit in really well the other night and I don't want your negative attitude to ruin how well we've been getting along... I'm sorry you are feeling lousy for whatever reason, but most likely it will pass very soon, especially if you just keep focusing on keeping yourself busy and don't let yourself fall into that black hole of depression & anger that we all get sometimes. If you ever feel like you are really lonely and just need to hang out with someone, give us a call and we'll try to incorporate you in our plans for the day. Usually we are just sitting around or doing housework, but I suppose it would be better for you to be bored with us than by yourself. Okay? TTyl!

Sweetie, I feel really bad for you because you seem to really suffer a lot from bad moods sometimes, but try not to worry. Like you said, moods are unexplainable. Some thoughts are unexplainable also. Thoughts just arise. They pop into your head (and then feelings can follow). I know day by day as you grow that you will get better at not allowing yourself to go down the path of a negative thought. You will get better at labeling it "Wow, that was a negative thought." And, learn to stop yourself from continuing on with that train of thought. You will also get better at reminding yourself that bad moods arise(just like the good moods do). It is a learning process that we all have to go through. Try not to worry, you will be okay. Like Carly said, just try to keep busy, and reach out and be with others. Helping other people also helps take your mind off of yourself, as does remembering all that you have to be grateful for and thankful for (counting your blessings really does help).

Just allow yourself some space for "not-knowing". It seems like when confusion arises in our mind, we hang on to that, we identify ourselves with it, we cling to it, and that makes it stick. Sometimes we need to just stop trying to understand, and just accept "not-knowing", and give ourself some time and space, and let wisdom and understanding come, all in it's own good time. By clinging to what we think we know or what we think we don't know, we block deeper knowing. We don't have to close down on each thought that occurs to us, we can let it pass on by. Our mind is no more the content of it's thoughts than the sky is the clouds that pass through it. Try to feel the spaciousness of your mind, quite capable of having room for everything and holding on to nothing. This experience of the spaciousness is the experience of letting go. Just because you think about an apple does not mean you ARE an apple, does not mean that now you have to become one or are stuck in thinking of yourself as an apple. You can change your thought, you ( ... )
