Hi, I stumbled on your site from a search I did trying to find out how much cough assist in one sitting I could do on my dad...he's been needing cough assist and suctioning more lately. I think it's really great that you keep an onliine journal like this, I'm sure it's very comforting to people newly diagnosed with ALS to see they aren't the only ones tackling this new stage in there life. I saw the post about the new book you are reading and I just wanted to let you know something that I have witnessed first hand. One Sunday night some people from our church met there to pray for my dad and also a highschool girl that was pregnant and had just got news of some complications. About 20 minutes into the prayer and service while we were praying for my father a softspoken lady sitting in one of the pews started talking a lot of jibberish, sounded almost like spanish but a lot faster. Everyone got quite and the pastor told here to keep going. He then asked if one of the members could translate what she was saying (he explained later
