My depest sympathies for all of you... anonymous February 12 2007, 06:15:45 UTC
Your Dad brightened many lives and we are all far richer for his contributions to AAC, the disability community, but perhaps most as a cherished friend. Colin touched lives everywhere and will be deeply missed. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers!

Colin has been a friend to me and many others through his interaction on the ACOLUG list. Although we never met in person, I'm absolutely sure we'd have gotten on well. He was a true gentleman and a great inspiration to many people. You, and all your family, have every right to be proud of a man of dignity and humor. I am happy to have known him.

I have been reading Colin's blog for many months so he's just been a virtual acquaintance. I'm was so sorry to stop by tonight and see the news. However, I'm glad to hear that his passing was peaceful and that he was surrounded by his loving family, who will surely miss him.

I spent just a few days last spring with Colin at a conference in Los Angeles but he made a deep impression on me. He was a man of grace, intelligence, and humor who faced ALS not as a curse but as an opportunity to share with and inspire others. He will be greatly missed.
