The age-old question-Friendships have been destroyed by it and many a great philosopher have lived under its weight. No one will ever be sure what came first: the invention of plaid or the invention of human beings. They say you can tell a lot about a person by which one they believe. People that believe human beings came first tend to be rational ( Read more... )

And your pages are going to be the BadAssiest! I might need to get a tattoo of your lumberjack in a chucky cheese. I'm thinking about getting it on my face. What do you think? Left side or right?

Where do you get off, showing up and posting out of the blue when I'm all holed up at the children's hospital without internet access?!?!

For SHAME!

Also, HI!!!

I know I say this every few months, but I'm back I'm back! I have been hanging out here military crawl style reading up on things, including the supremely adorable pictures you've been posting. Also you're like the only person I know who actually finishes quilts!

It's bad enough you have to be at the hospital but no internet? What are they trying to do to you?!?!

I merely suffered sleep deprivation at the hands of nurses and nurses' aides and the 17 year-old mother of our 4 month-old roommate. Holy crap!

Dixon got a raw deal. Poor guy's boy bits look frightful. He doesn't seem to notice it anymore, though. Baby boys are more macho than big boys, I think.

I didn't even try to bring my computer, actually. Just my knitting and Solitaire on my Palm. Woo.

Good lord, that sentence makes me sound old and frumpy. Not that I was ever cool, but... jeez, do I have to wear my UnCool so openly?

I'm glad you're back. Are you going to disappear again soon, or may we enjoy your company for a bit?

Knitting is still cool! I mean you were knitting macbook cozies right?

I gave up on knitting years ago when I realized it somehow made me more tense. I knit things like I was armwrestling, and more often than not the thing I was trying to make won!

Dixon's adorable and badass at the same time!

Haha, no I think I'm back for good for a while. I don't know why I was getting crazy posting anxieties, forgot how much fun it is to just write nonsense and not edit it! Can't promise I'll write every week, but it'll be a lot more than once every two months, I swear!

I don't know which is more awesome, that Lumberjack Day is going to have a comic book, or that it has its own Web site! Also, I am very curious about your book.

I made that website last year when I was riding the high of too many pancakes. The jokes section is particularly painful to read! http://lumberjackday.net/celebrate/howto/jokes/

Your posts this summer have been so inspiring! Made me want to frolic all over this city. I'm so glad you're posting so much again!

I am glad my posts have inspired someone. There aren't many people left on LJ! I had a week off earlier this month and I've being assigned to late shifts, so suddenly I've had lots of time to explore. Every time I think I'm almost out of places to explore in NYC, I seem to find more!

Congrats on finishing your first draft of your graphic novel. That's super exciting. I recently became addicted to Veronica Mars after a friend gave me the first box set. Enjoy that energy. Run around in circles or dance around naked in your apartment. =)

You mean run around in circles MORE OFTEN right? I mean I do that all the time! Though usually it's not necessarily because I'm happy but rather because I can't find my other shoe.

Thanks for the kind words! I"ve got only 6 more episodes of VM left until I'm done with it all. Rumor has it the ending suuucks so I'm taking my time getting there!

As evidence of the world's smallness, not only are we mutual pals of mister_punchy but my SO, Joe Infurnari, is an artist on the First:Second roster (he's drawing the "Sled Dogs With Issues" book). We were randomly discussing tats and he mentioned the connect-the-dots giraffe. I exclaimed, "Saints Alive, I know who you're talking about!" I've wanted to say hello for some time, since you're so dear to Punchy and you seem extremely cool.
