A lot of these are from the OTHER side of PA, but most of them apply.

Meme from strawberrysgirl:

Go to Google (or Yahoo) and type, "You know you're from (your state/province) when..."
Cut and paste the list.
Bold the items that apply to you.

(I'd be more than happy to explain any of these in the comments. :-D)
Meme under the cut. )

everybody knows dressing is what you put on salad!
for years I thought Yuengling beer was Chinese.
I live in Oakland and the ones for there were way off the mark as far as I'm concerned, for one thing about 75% of them were about rap. I hate rap!

LOL I thought the same thing...until I saw something on the Pittsburgh news once about the brewery being located in Pennsylvania. A lot of the ones on the list have to do with having Amish people in the area. We have the occasional buggy go through our town, but mostly we get the Mennonites. I love those guys...they're always in Wal-Mart or Eat-N-Park, and their kids are always so adorable. :-D

The person who put together this particular list is from the eastern side of Pennsylvania, but a lot of the stuff still applies. Mostly because there are certain things in PA that are universal: Iron City tastes like piss, there are Amish people everywhere, and the Ohio professional football teams are our mortal enemies. XD

I've been to Pennsylvania several times but the only Amish people I ever saw were a couple of tourists in Texas, of all places. I'm an atheist but I respect those guys for their pacifism and their willingness to help people in trouble w/no questions asked (unlike some religious people).

Yeah, the ones around here are really nice too. I like that they're so willing to help as well.
