only problem with that mixer is that if something on it breaks you're out your mixer and your serato. you also won't be able to play at clubs with your serato, unless they let you install your mixer, which most won't.

Provide those serato mixers now, so don't worry about that. And why wouldn't they let you put in your own mixer? it's a rane, it just has the ease of serato in there for those who want to utilize that. Matt, admit it, you just hate serato ;)
Colin, i would totally go for it if i was you...you can also record all of your records into your serato library as mp3's and still have the use of all the vinyl that you've purchased. Personally, serato has it's amazing points and it's bad points, but overall, it's a really neat tool.

actually i was suggesting that he buy a mixer and serato separately. i don't have anything against serato, other then it being for cheaters. ^^;
what clubs have you been to that have a serato mixer installed? even if that is the case elsewhere, he's not going to be touring the world anytime soon. locally, he'll have to drag the thing around with him, meaning whoever plays before/after him is going to be using his shit.

Hugo's has that mixer, Lucky is thinking about getting one....
But, in retrospect, your suggestion for buying separate is the better one. If you have the serato set up at home and are going to go somewhere with the mixer+serato you only have to bring your lappy....which is tight. And serato is not for cheaters:)
