and if you have a digital camera, what brand is it, where did you buy it, and can i see a sample picture? do you reccomend it?

Mine is a Logitech QuickCam Traveler. It is both a webcam and a digicam, It cost me about 140 I think... in Canadian dollars. I love it a lot. You can see many samples on my livejournal ;)And uhm, I would recommend it if you don't want to pay a lot and have a nice and small digicam that you would not be afraid to manipulate because it would be too expensive.. hehe WEEEEEE

Is the nikon coolpix 775 too expensive for you? It's got one of the best non-professional image sensors, and is lower cost than the 885, as it is 2.1 megapixel vs. 3.3 megapixel. My roommate bought a 775 for his girlfriend, and she loves it. I love my 880, but it was roughly $500, and you *have* to buy the rechargeable battery as it goes through them like something that goes through stuff well.

the nikon coolpix is awsome...but wayyy too expensive. i guess you get what you pay for sometimes with quality....maybe one day i'll invest in it, for the time being, i'm looking for something a bit more affordable.

That's cool, the Coolpix 775 is a tad expensive at $350-399 for a 2.1mpix camera. The Sony CyberShot P31 is pretty cool 2.1mpix camera, light on features but it takes nice pictures; sony claims the MSRP is $219, so Best Buy will probably have it for a few dollars under that. Below that there's a metric pantload of 1 Megapixel cameras, but I'm not sure what's good and what's not down there. C-Net might have something.

Best of luck :)

I have a JamCam (3.0 I think?) for a digital camera, and a LogiTech QuickCam for a web cam. I got them both insanely cheap (I think around 40 bucks each?) at one of the stores in the paypal.com store search. I highly recommend the JamCam, it really is nice... the LogiTech QuickCam isn't the best, but since it was insanely cheap I guess it was worth the price.

I used to have a jamcam and it just did NOT work for me. I returned it and got a polaroid fun flash for like $130. The price seems really cheap, because the pictures aren't the best in the world, but they are okay. I just like it because it has an lcd screen, and most cheap cameras don't have that. It also has flash and a timer and stuff too, which are all bonuses for the price.

It actually takes fairly good pictures if you have A LOT of light. The sample is from our school gym which doesn't have very much light at all, but the picture isn't that bad.

can I add pictures here?
hahah

hahaha
okay, so the picture isn't really great at all.
but, it DOES get better with light, I promise. Although I am sure there are better cameras out there for the same price. That picture is soo old. It's from 8th grade I think.

I never use my camera.

I have a Canon PowerShot A20 that I got this past Christmas. I think it was either $300 or $400, I don't remember. But I know Canon makes cameras that cost less, that look just as good.

A sample picture...

that's a beautiful picture .. makes me wish i had the money to spend on a quality camera..

i havea logitech quick cam traveler .. it's not too awful, sometimes it takes really good pictures and other times they're not so clear .. they don't come close to that picture, though.. if you want to see samples, i probably have some posted on my livejournal .. if not, well .. i'll look for some or something. i got it for christmas from my mom so i know it wasn't more than 200 dollars .. probably less ..

good luck, and let us know what you decide on :)
