So, today is my birthday. As a part of that day, some folks I love (umm my folks!), gave me an iPod Mini. I'm soooo pumped. I don't know why, but I just am. OK...so I finally feel hip. That's why

Woo! I bought myself a 60gb Photo iPod recently.. what a splurge. You'll love it. :D I've got that Sarah McLachlan album, btw.

Boy, there are so many good songs. I don't know if you're into Ani, but how about Ani DiFranco's 32 Flavors from her Not a Pretty Girl album although the one from So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter is great too. I prefer the studio track.

I don't listen to Ani as much any more, but I used to be addicted when I was in college. I've seen her in concert (at Carleton) many times. Went dancing with her once actually and about fainted when she held on to me while she pulled a tack out of her boot with her keys. Ahhhh to be young again. ;-)

Oh yes. We went to the Saloon with a bunch of folks after the concert. At that time in her career, she was kind of small peanuts and the only people who knew about her were us queers. She had no hair at the time. I forget when it was, but I want to say it was the spring of 1993. I know I wasn't old enough to drink.

I have to tell you though...that woman is TINY. I could have crushed her between my thumb and forefinger. Of course, I didn't...I just stared at her in shock...she was touching me!

My Ipod changed my life. That's a great gift from some pretty cool folks!

My parents are about the coolest folks ever...and not because they got me an iPod hehe (although that was quite nice, I have to admit). hee hee. I told my dad, "you didn't need to do this." His response? "I know." :-)

"Round of Blues" is awesome. I'm not sure I have that on there. Good idea!

My birthday was really quite good. I spent it with my best friend just hanging out (she'd come in from Michigan) and then had dinner with my parents at a fairly hip restaurant. It was good bonding time all around.

Bree Sharp, from "More BS" the song "Everything Feels Wrong" is my favorite, but I love all of her music.

Anything from Cake or Lisa Loeb.
