My grandmother is very sick today. She was rushed to the hospital yesterday for emergency surgery and they found a perforated ulcer in her stomach. Now, she is in intensive care because she's having trouble breathing and they need to get that under control. I'm finding myself wondering if my grandmother has a DNR. I'm pretty sure she does. She

I was thinking about you this morning. I wasn't sure exactly why. I left it alone with "Carrie has not posted in a while."

A very comforting friend tells me that he believes he can sense when his friends have moments of heightened emotions, regardless of how far away he may be at the time.

Fear does not make you selfish in my mind. Fear and love have a very intricate relationship. The fear you feel is intrinsic to your love for your grandmother.

Now I know why you were in my thoughts! You and your grandmother will remain there!

Thanks hon. I haven't posted in awhile. I'm not sure why...nothing to say? Or maybe too much to say! You know how it goes.

Grandma is doing better but is not out of the woods yet. She's still in ICU on oxygen. I may go down there tomorrow. We shall see. No one can really sit with her or even really see her so I might wait until next week or the week after.

I'm so sorry to hear that your grandma isn't well. Two months ago, my grandma had a few strokes but B"H she did not have to be hospitalized. :/ I'll pray for your family if you're comfortable with that. *hugs*

Yes, please do. I appreciate all the intervention we can get. :-) I'm waiting to hear from my parents today as to an update. Hopefully, she'll get out of ICU soon!
