Free stuff

As lucyruthe and I are combining our stuff into one comfortingly crass household, we're discovering duplicates. These things that we don't need are up for the first taker who is willing to come get 'em. So far we have:

** An electric kettle, works quite well.

It's a plastic pitcher with a heating element in it that plugs in to boil water. Mine is a cordless one - it sits on a base that plugs in, you flip a little switch on the pitcher, and it boils the water inside. It then switches off as soon as it boils; there's a safety cutoff to stop it from boiling dry.

They're convenient as hell if you drink tea or hot chocolate or that fake international coffee crap. I got addicted to them when I lived in Scotland and got one as soon as I moved home. lucyruthe is the only other person here I know who has one, and hers is nicer. It's obviously true love.

Yeah, but that smacks of effort during a time when i've got too much stress and other stuff to do. So anything that is more effort than hauling it down to the trashcan is out of the question.
