I totally just bought used DVDs of To Have And Have Not and Dogville for $6 each at a record/movie/video game store in Tenleytown. And I totally didn't even realize until after I left the store that both just so happened to have Lauren Bacall in them. One movie from 1944 and one from 2003. We saw Cat Power tonight and it was kind of disappointing in the sense that she didn't play "Werewolf" or "He War" or really anything from You Are Free except "I Don't Blame You" is the only thing I remember. The Joanna Newsom concert. I took the Metro to U St. I got in the will-call line until Ben joined me. We walked upstairs to the main room and already a crowd had formed around the stage. Most of the time when I burn CDs, I write the CD info in Sharpie on the CD after it's burned. But today I was burning a CD and I wrote the CD information on the CD before I put the blank CD in my computer. Halfway through the burn, and this does happen sometimes, the disk ejected and my computer told me that there was an error writing it. As such, ( Read more... )

I fixed up Alycia's bike and rode it on the Capital Crescent Trail on Sunday. I rode into Bethesda and then down the Trail to the 8 Mile Marker, where Fletcher's Boat House is. I was a vampire for Halloween. Black pants and a black button up shirt. Black velvety cape. White face, fangs, no glasses (actually I've been wearing contacts most of the time lately, and I plan to continue that) and the best part- my hair, with gel/black hair dye that made it go crazy all over the place.
