I am putting a tentative claim on this. I really love this prompt, but I'm not sure how well I'll write it (and RL is busy for me). I have Part 1 written and some ideas, but I don't want to post till I know I'm actually keeping what I wrote so far. It could easily be 2 weeks before I post anything (or a couple more sleepless nights at this rate).

So please, if anyone else has an idea, fill this! I just wanted to give a little bit of hope...

This is pretty much a post to warn for the MAJOR SPOILERS to episode 5, "The T Word". The first and third scene are conversations from the last 15 minutes of the episode. The second scene, while original, is still heavily spoilery for the episode. Reading part 1 of this fic will tell you the bad guy of the episode and how it gets resolved.

As for the prompt, unfortunately, this isn't quite as angsty or lengthy as you might have planned (no sweets for me...). But I enjoyed what I wrote and I hope you do as well.

Life moved on, as it always did. The next morning they were called out to deal with a painfully transparent double suicide. The paperwork was barely finished before a hit and run that was looking a little too staged had them on the road. Wes’s concern and Travis’s hurt faded and was replaced with the aggravation and fighting that was their norm

“Hey,” the snitch whispered, eyes darting around the fast food restaurant, “Look, normally I talk to Officer Malley but he promised me you two were good for it so I figured it wouldn’t hurt.” He stood awkwardly at the edge of their table, a knit hat on his head, scruffy jacket and torn jeans. A mother ushered her kids past with a wary look, choosing to sit three tables down.

Travis leaned back and let Wes take center stage, willing to play off his game. He wasn’t the one called about Malley’s snitch anyway.

“Would you like to sit down first?” Wes asked, volume normal for conversation and causing the snitch to jump. Any awkwardness from Travis’s earlier question replaced by professionalism.

“Right. Right, sure, I can do that,” the snitch responded, voice louder than conversation called for in an attempt to copy Wes and sound relaxed.

Travis didn’t fight the chuckle, Wes stayed focus, “The vital information you told Malley about?” Travis began a slow thump, thump, thump of his fingers against the table, hoping to unnerve the snitch

What had Wes said, that he was jealous?

“Gah, pull it together man. What’s bothering you?” Travis muttered, hands covering his face. He flopped back onto his bed, letting his arms flail out as they willed, “That’s an easy one. Something’s wrong with Wes.”

The harder part was admitting why it took so long to notice and answering what was wrong with Wes

Tuesday began early with Travis in the station, not having a laptop of his own and needing the internet. He wasn’t really sure what he was going to do about the Wes Situation yet, but back during the Jas- Baby Face Case he had mentioned something about not understanding the Bro Code

Hi there... OP here. I really enjoyed this! Took a bit of time to acquire the freetime needed but I finally got to read it! Thanks for filling it! You're my first fill (of a posted prompt) in the CL fandom! I liked how the characters were true to themselves and all... Capt. Sutton is my fave next to the boys here.

Story flowed good and I enjoyed the read. Thanks for it and yea it's not angsty but you can have some sugar-free cookies if you want! :P
