As for the prompt, unfortunately, this isn't quite as angsty or lengthy as you might have planned (no sweets for me...). But I enjoyed what I wrote and I hope you do as well.

Travis leaned back and let Wes take center stage, willing to play off his game. He wasn’t the one called about Malley’s snitch anyway.
“Would you like to sit down first?” Wes asked, volume normal for conversation and causing the snitch to jump. Any awkwardness from Travis’s earlier question replaced by professionalism.
“Right. Right, sure, I can do that,” the snitch responded, voice louder than conversation called for in an attempt to copy Wes and sound relaxed.
Travis didn’t fight the chuckle, Wes stayed focus, “The vital information you told Malley about?” Travis began a slow thump, thump, thump of his fingers against the table, hoping to unnerve the snitch ( ... )

“Gah, pull it together man. What’s bothering you?” Travis muttered, hands covering his face. He flopped back onto his bed, letting his arms flail out as they willed, “That’s an easy one. Something’s wrong with Wes.”
The harder part was admitting why it took so long to notice and answering what was wrong with Wes ( ... )
