Agh, this prompt has been in my head and begging to be written since I saw it Sunday Night.

Same anon as above! I'll just go on record right now that it's been several years since I've actually sat down and wrote fic, especially fic that is supposed to rip hearts out and have me stomp on them repeatedly. So I do apologize if I end up being very slow and lackluster. THAT BEING SAID - I just needed to push this prologue out because it came to me while I was out of town attending a funeral for a family member.

Also - the locations mentioned are real locations, and yes that specific 7-Eleven is 2.9 miles from one of the precincts. I did a lot of staring at google maps trying to map out my thoughts, and Travis's age is based off how old Michael Ealy is since I'm not sure how old they are in the show. :|a

so....yeah. Onto the fill kthx!

Holy guacamole, didn't even make it through the news report before I was bawling... but I'm a mess anyway. Hahaha...
