while i had a slightly hard time following that (i attribute that to the fever i have), i think that is a really good look at it and i can't emphasize how much i wish to sit down and talk to you about this so i can understand it all better and hopefully learn many things.

From what I gather through my pool-tainted, half-closed eyes, this will definitely be something worth rereading next week, post-first-two-weeks-of-swimming. (Also known as the exponential growth of both attention span and retention rate.) Either way, at this moment in time, I am not able to sufficiently comment on such a philisophical piece of writing. I do, however, applaud you for taking this on. Very interesting. I too would like to sit down and talk to you.

my major comment is this, if God KNEW that Adam and Eve would sin, then why would he need to test them? And was it really their choice if God knew they would eat of the tree and he just let the events just unfold?

If he knew, then it wasn't a test.

Total free will would be chaos.

Adam and eve were the examples for the whole of society. Old testament God was vengeful and raining sulfur.

Also, look at it as God knows the outcome but not the path that will be taken to get there. it could have been that years or milenia before it happened.

Off topic- but this reminded me of our english class's discussion on existentialism:

If he knew, then it wasn't a test.

Total free will would be chaos.

Excited to talk about this with everyone over break.

indeed, i am intrigued by the topic, the perspective, and the overall phenomenon that is "God."

i agree with most of what you wrote. greg does bring up some valid points that i too was curious about.

"To be faithful one must have the opportunity to be unfaithful and the chance to prove ones self."

i like this a lot.
