tattoo pricing

Thinking of getting a tattoo for my forearm. Not a full sleeve. I have no idea about pricing. Can someone give me an idea of price? Does 500 make sense?

Cost is based on size, placement, color/not, Artist, and if you need it designed. Mine all cost less than 500 even though they are reasonably big because they are linework with black/grey shading and I came in with good art for them to use. Mine were also single sitting. It really depends on a lot of factors. You can get estimates.

I've found with my recent ones that cost is an hourly thing, with a minimum 30 minute charge. And it's $150ish/hr.
I think 500 is a good ballpark idea to have when going to get an estimate. Take the artwork with you, obviously.

Can we see the artwork? :)

When it is done. Because I love the artist, I have given him ideas rather than art.

Does anyone know about places that do work on scars? How about a place to get ideas on scar tattoos?
I.
