When your gal shows up at your Friday night trivia show to tell you that she's breaking up with you...
and you drown your sorrows in a weekend of out-of-town gaming in Chattanooga....
then you stay home from work Monday sick with body aches, fever, and a bruised heart. -
Dear parents of crying baby...
I know your new game is awesome and all, but please stop for a bit and help your child stop crying. I do realize that you don't pay all that much attention to it, but those of us that are not used to this noise find in somewhere between eyes being gouged out of our head and repeated punches to the nuts on the annoyance scale.

how do you know you're smitten?
When you spend 5 hours with someone at what should have been a 1 to 2 hour lunch, and then spend 2 and a half more hours on the phone with them the same day.
And it's still difficult to say goodbye.
I'd say that's a fairly good sign that you're well and truly smitten. -

the journey to Birmingham, with the exception of the radio and the near constant stream of profanity coming from my mouth, was very quiet. Apparently I don't do well in convoy situations... especially when there are so many confused drivers on the road with us..

one more 'free' weekend...
One more weekend that is sorta mine before POC... usually I look forward to the end of a con with dread and a bit of sadness... but I think that when POC is over this year, I will be a bit relieved ( Read more... ) -
