Gah. Okay, first off, this is completely awesome. Loved it all, it's a truly beautiful read. But then that ending. . . *whimper* I mean, it's fantastic, of course, but it's so terrible and heart-breaking at the same time. . . At any rate, this is great, and thanks a lot for sharing. <3

Thank you, I'm really glad you like it! The fact that the ending is pure, acculturated angst is totally dorian_mauve's fault, I swear.

That ending is so painful! I can't even deal. I really loved Cobb in this one, too. He's so fierce. And you always write Arthur so well. His struggle was really hard to read, to be honest, but it added an amazingly tragic element to the story.

Long story short: AWESOME, FLAWLESS, HEART-BREAKING, WORTH THE WAIT, ETC.

YAY I'M GLAD IT WAS SATISFYING!

And, as always, I'm blaming the angst on dorian_mauve so take up any complaints with her. XD

Thanks for turning me on to such a lovely prompt.

Oh, ouch. Lovely and wonderfully written, of course, but OUCH.

You write their interactions fantastically - the dialogue in particular is very good - and this whole thing is a great way to look at the partnership between Cobb and Arthur. Really, really well done!

MAYBE I'LL WRITE A FOLLOW-UP IN WHICH THEY BOTH PINE INCONSOLABLY.

AND IT'S ONLY BY THE POWER OF HIS REPRESSED LOVE FOR DOM THAT ARTHUR CAN DEFEAT HIS DEMONS. THE END.
