Wow, that's disturbing

My brother tells me that one of the girls who were playing D&D with him and his friends on Saturday night was tentacle raped to death because she was foolish enough to choose to go skinny-dipping in an unexplored lake which turned out to house a giant squid.

...Yeah, that's all. I can't really add anything to that.

What immediately springs to mind there are that the numerous threads/articles/blogposts/etc. I've seen along the lines of "why don't any girls play RPGs?" (I read these threads, because I feel like a big man hogging all of them ^_~) always have something akin to a "gaming horror stories that made me quit" section that is 95% character rape, half the time with tentacle monsters. And although I can see a kind of game that that would actually work in, these stories always seem to be along the lines of, "My friend Bob brought his girlfriend over to play a one-shot game the first time, so I had her kidnapped by lesbian demons and raped to death, for realism. Now she won't come back, and Bob is mad. Should I punish his character with XP penalties?" Hopefully, your brother's game was at least a little better than that. ^_ ( ... )

Actually, he tells me that there were two characters who decided to embark upon this stupidity together and that they both immediately sustained about 25 points of damage from a source unspecified beyond 'giant squid.' It was only when the encounter proved fatal to one of them that the general consensus became that she had been tentacle raped to death, because it was funnier that way.
