Well done; however, Salesman was a point of contention not because of advertisers but because of the drug references. Because, you see, the Monkees were supposed to be innocent of all that sort of hoodlumism. (Uh huh. Did they ever watch their own show?)

Also, if you're wondering why I all of a sudden decided this would be a fun post to write, I have no idea. I take it as evidence that my brain occupies itself with odd things while I'm not looking, then occasionally spits them to the foreground.
