If you've never cut 4.5 ft. long garbage ties out of vinyl to make belts for tapdancing cockroaches or knitted legwarmers out of eyelash yarn which doesn't stretch for crap, you've never costumed Cats. (Be thankful.)

Where/when would you like your Christmas present? I can mail it to you, but I would rather give it to you in person ::feigns innocence:: Am in KC until early on the 6th, when I fly back to Michigan. Also, when is Garrett's birthday? An eBay seller sent me a really nice University of Iowa pen by accident (I had ordered KU luggage tags) and is letting me keep it to make up for the mistake. You can have it if you or your parents need a random gift for him. Though I suppose he's a lot easier to shop for than my brother....

Garrett's birthday isn't until July, so there's plenty of time on that - though given how well I've been doing with Christmas gifts, I probably OUGHT to start shopping for him now. >_I'll be in Wheaton until, er, the 16th I think. If you truly want to give me my gift in person badly enough you could probably come stay for a day or two (although I say this without having officially checked with the parental units); just be warned that my grandparents will be visiting Saturday through Wednesday, and that no matter when you showed up I can guarantee that you would be shanghaied into helping paint unitards or knit legwarmers or something similar... Garrett and I have already built one poodle head out of a KFC bucket, a plastic cup, curly ribbons, and a bath pouf today, and still need to do two more. Otherwise, it would be fine if you mailed it, and either address should work depending on how early you send it out ( ... )

Every sentence should begin with, "If you've never cut 4.5 ft. long garbage ties out of vinyl to make belts for tapdancing cockroaches . . ."

And come on, Lari. You ought to be able to withstand being distressed or horrified at Submissive!Utena/Mikage ship thoughts. There's squickier stuff in canon for that show. ^_^

Hey, I left a voicemail on your cell, but I'm not sure if you got it. Have you still been unable to find the Serenity RPG, and if so, do you want it? I saw it at the Barnes and Noble here the other day - $40, but we get 10% off there so it would be $36. I can grab it for you if you'd like.

Hee, thanks for being on the lookout, but I've actually both finally found the Serenity RPG at a store in Lawrence (love that new Goblin Games place) and gotten my own (from Mel's parents as a Christmas gift . . . she swears she didn't give them the idea ( ... )
