I have read career advice in the sciences. I am intrigued by the guy who identified the gene that produces a fluorescent protein - is out of science. He drives van.

Here's a participatory study being done on firefly (lightning bug) distributions. I think its fun. You just need to go out at least once a week to watch fireflies and take some basic notes. They also want to know if no fireflies are found in your area.https://www.mos.org/fireflywatch/

I am annoyed with not finding a third reference to list on my resume. Is having three references a golden rule? Am I really that incompetent in scientific pursuits not to be endorsed?
