I had increadibly high hopes for Babel, and I found it very disaffecting. Save for teh deaf girl, I really didn't feel any emotional attachmnet to any of teh Characters. Right now I really dislike Arcata as a college student. IN that, I like HSU. And I think Humboldt County would be an interesting place to live if I was working. The movie Quicksilver, with Kevin Bacon and about bike messengers, it one of the most bizarre movies i have seen. it ranks up there with Road House and Flashdance. The 80s were filled with movies that glorify transitional vocations.
