And now, I present to you, the greatest and most instructional convention report in the history of mankind! Beware, yon mortals, for said list is augmented by many pictures for the viewing pleasure of your eyeballs. Those still banging stones to make fire and using dial-up may wish to look away from the beaming pixelated glory.

Oh hell yes. It could have been scores worse than it was, but maybe I'll get it right next year. And my dad is nice, he's just, uh ... eccentric. XD And packs too heavily.

I dunno, I go to Otakon because it's always huge and fun and the cosplayers bust out their best. Plus I could sit in the video game room (which could house plenty of aircraft or submarines) if ever I get bored.
SDCC would be awesome though. As would AX. But we've got NYAF and New York Comic-Con here, so yay.

16. People around Kage turn into ninjas and become hard to find.
...I'd post a ninjatastic picture of Kage here to demonstrate, but she's such a ninja that I couldn't get one. And even if I could, she might have eaten my camera clean out of my hands.
DAMN straight.

.___. I love my camera and I'm sure it wouldn't make for good nom-noms, so I didn't attempt to. THIS TIME.

Also, that Steam Punk picture? The gun... thing looks cool, BUT THAT OUTFIT IN THE BACK LOOKS AWESOME. *wants to draw it*

And I can agree whole heartedly on all of your points. Though I only brought my mother once and it didn't matter because she stayed in the room the entire time \o/ And I was too young to drive, so yay transportation!

Well hey, that's what my Boston report was like! But this time I got so fed up with things that I compiled a list, so that next time I (and others) will not repeat my mistakes.
Welp, I went twice with both my parents in 2002 and 2003 and last year with my mom. If it's my mom by herself she can be cool, but my dad ... man, he can be such a burden. My parents always want to eat somewhere decent (read: expensive) and aren't entirely interested in con stuff. Better not to bring them next year, or at least not go down with them. Driving with them was the nightmare.

Yeah, we're all cheap. Even the Thursday Meal is something we begrudgingly do because I insist >_> But why did the car ride suck? Aside from the fact IT TOOK YOU FOREVER to get there.

It took forever to get there because of two things, really:
1. We stopped a lot. My mom pees like nobody's business (it really is nobody's business... EXCEPT when I'm trying to get to Otakon), and my dad has knee problems so he doesn't like to sit for too long, and blah blah.
2. I was a genius and we went to the wrong Sheraton hotel, so we had to turn around and hit Baltimore traffic to go, what, four blocks over. >.> By the time we were actually IN the con, it was high time for dinner.
I don't know, I'm very New Yorker "get it done" yesterday, and I adapt this to con schedules even though it's supposed to be restful. SRS BUSINESS.
