I might have used it in middle school (I cringe at a lot of sentences that end with that phrase) but I probably stopped before I knew you. So, effectively, the answer is "Yes."

NOOOO. I remember trying to get through the book in what, seventh grade? I fucking hated. I put up with the geriatic, cradle robbing sex (with wide eyed OH MY GOD. THEY'RE... DOING IT. D: twelve year old patience) until I got to the PHILOSOPHY YEY FUCKING LECTURE in the middle. I jettisoned that shit in a second.

But, I dunno. I read it again and, once again, eff you Comrade Cabbage Smith, but I TOTALLY DUG THE LOFTY PRETENTIOUS FASCIST PHILOSOPHY. WE OWN YOU AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AHAHAHAHAHA. TAKE THAT KANT. You know? It was awesome. I wish I had taken notes.

Rabbit Hole Day aside, I am actually reading that book for my English class, and I definitely like it better after reading some critical articles. I can't decide whether Thomas Pyncheon is reading too much into the very existence of the Appendix; authorial intent is a tricky thing.
