Dear Students of Hogwarts,

I regret to inform you that your Survival Against Magical Creatures Teacher, Richard B. Riddick, has been apprehended today by the ministry. He has been charged with kidnapping of a student you may know, Samus Aran. Do not expect to contact her, since her journal has been seized to prevent any bias when we question her ( Read more... )

Didn't she ask if she could stay with him?

That is part of our investigation, but I believe that to be a very narrow possibility.

Well, this is more than a little ridiculous. Samus just needed a place to stay, didn't she?

Riddick has had a very... 'busy' history. Kidnapping would not surprise me in the least.

Samus has better sense than to put her trust into someone who'd kidnap her. Besides, what kind of kidnapper lets their victim wander around wherever they like?

I'll soon find that out when I question her.

I'm going to have to side with most of the students here and say that Dumbledore would not hire a man who would kidnap a student.

Still, i'm sure Ms. Aran's questioning will clear things up, if you even choose to listen to her, that is.

Does no one here read the newpaper at all or listen to the gossip? Riddick is a killer, and why Dumbledore allowed him to work in Hogwarts was extremely foolish since Riddick is dangerous to those around him.

Likewise.

That entire case was a disaster. There were no witnesses besides Riddick himself, the victim's family was simply looking for revenge, and at the time the Ministry was under staff and under extreme pressure from several sources.

So please, don't accuse men of crimes you know little about.

Riddick nearly killed 2 aurors and placed on in critical condition. He was rightfully charged and should have remained in Azkaban to serve his sentence.

Filtered to Balmung

And don't you dare tell me how do my job. I was the Auror that he placed in critical condition and I can still feel the spot where he missed the so called 'sweet spot'.

Riddick was LETTING Samus stay with her because she had nowhere else to go. I don't care what Riddick did in the past, I KNOW that he was letting her stay and she was staying under HER OWN FREE WILL.

I'll soon be finding out whether that is the truth or not.

It IS the truth and I don't care if you're an adult or not, you're being an idiot.

Are you one of Riddick's students?
