I will be glad for you to see it. It's wonderful to go back to M-e. After 3 viewings now, each time I hated to see it end.

Some of the reviews are just misplaced in their criticism. There are things to criticize, as with any film, but some of the stuff I have read (and I have read a ton of the reviews) are exaggerated, misleading, confused, etc. - dare I say mean-spirited or arrogant? I don't know. So that is frustrating.

I hope you enjoyed the film!

oh yes! :) I did have to return to this - thanks for reminding me!

I did love the additional heroic parts PJ gave Bilbo! I agree about Rivendell being a good place for a bathroom break! During FOTR I used to take a bathroom break in Rivendell, too, during Aragorn and Arwen's scene, lol!

Yeah, I thought Rivendell was going to be full of great scenes of Bilbo-in-awe, but once that passed by fairly quickly, the film was just a bit slow at a time when we all really didn't need to stop and catch our breath and would have rather kept the action going, IMO. Have seen it two more times now, will probably post some comments and pics soon. :)
